The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look. He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed. We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost. We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong, on him, on him.
Who We Are
Youth for Christ (YFC) has been caring for young people all over the world since the 1940's. We see the Hope and Potential in every young person. YFC imparts God's love, truth and hope to young people from all walks of life regardless of race, faith, economic level, or cultural background. YFCGO is a collaborative initiative to share the good news of Christ with seeking young people through stories and conversations, connecting youth to caring faith communities.
As part of the Body of Christ, to see that every young person in every people group in every nation has the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become part of a local church.
Since the 1940's, Youth for Christ has served to reach out to young people and offer them the life-changing message of the gospel. Over the years, millions of young lives have been touched. Today, many of the leaders in our communities and our churches have been influenced by YFC and their lives have been shaped through the influence of the gospel.
